Programs designed to support parents and caregivers in building their child's communication skills. Each program is designed by a Speech-Language Pathologist and provides practical, evidence-based strategies you can use at home and in everyday routines.

Language Buds:
Parent and Me

A welcoming parent-and-baby group for new parents looking to connect with other families while supporting their baby's communication development from the very beginning. Each session incorporates songs, stories, sensory play, and interactive activities that promote early language, social connection, and parent-child bonding. Parents learn simple, evidence-based strategies to encourage communication during everyday routines.

Three groups are offered by age:

  • Tiny Buds (0-6 months) on Tuesdays

  • Growing Buds (6-12 months) on Wednesdays

  • Busy Buds (12-24 months) on Thursdays.

  • Sessions run 10:30-11:30 AM at our clinic (565 Sanatorium Rd, Unit 209, Hamilton, ON).

$300 for the six-week series

AAC Together:
A Parent Learning Series

A hybrid learning program for parents and caregivers of children who use AAC. Parents learn practical, evidence-based strategies to understand AAC, model language, and create communication opportunities in everyday life. Designed for families using all types of AAC systems, including communication apps, low-tech or paper-based systems, switches, and eye gaze systems. The program includes one online learning session (90 minutes) covering AAC fundamentals, followed by four in-person hands-on sessions at our clinic where parents apply their knowledge with their child under clinician guidance.

$600 for all five sessions.

Language Sprouts

A parent-led early communication group for children aged 2.5 years and older who are late to talk, minimally speaking, or not yet using words to communicate. Parents learn practical, evidence-based strategies to support communication through play, daily routines, songs, and interactive activities. Families explore ways to encourage gestures, sounds, signs, AAC, and early words while building connection and communication skills together. Sessions are held at our clinic (565 Sanatorium Rd, Unit 209, Hamilton, ON) on Thursdays, 6:00-7:00 PM.

$480 for the eight-week program.
